Jen: Assistant Executive Director


Jennifer is the Assistant Executive Director of the College Experience and Career Next Programs in addition to the Employment Services Department. Jen graduated from Keene State College in 2000 with an Associate Degree in Human Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Jen has been employed with Living Resources since 2001. She became Director of the College Experience in 2007, the Director of all Program Services for Living Resources in 2010, and was promoted to Assistant Executive Director in 2016.

Colleen: Director of Admissions & Operations

Colleen started with The College Experience in 2009 as the QIDP, teaching classes and overseeing student service plans. In 2010 Colleen was promoted to Coordinator of Student Life & Admissions for The College Experience. In this role, Colleen recruits for the program and oversees the admission process working closely with students, parents and school districts. In 2019 Colleen was promoted to Director of Admissions for both the College Experience at the College of Saint Rose and CareerNext at SUNY Schenectady and SUNY Cobleskill. Colleen graduated from Oneonta State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and from Dominican College with her Master’s degree in Special Education and Teacher of Severe and Multiple Disabilities. Prior to the College Experience, Colleen was teaching in the field of special education at a local public school district.

Jen: Academic Coordinator at SUNY Schenectady

Jen started with The College Experience in 2015 as the Internship Specialist.  In this role, she taught employment preparation courses & placed and supported students in local internships.  In 2016, Jen was promoted to Career Development Specialist where she identified a partnership with New York State’s OPWDD’s Employment Training Program.  In 2017, Jen was promoted to Operations Manager of the Employment Department for Living Resources.  She remained in this role, until the Academic Coordinator position made itself available within CareerNext at SUNY Schenectady.  She accepted the Academic Coordinator position in late 2018, but began with the first group of students in January 2019.  Jen’s passion for Higher Education came about because of her extracurricular involvement at her undergraduate institution and the position at CareerNext was a perfect marriage of her past and present skill sets.  As the Academic Coordinator, Jen assists with the onboarding of new students, but also supports her current students in anything they may need academically or administratively—from registration, ADA Accommodation Letters, meeting with faculty, joining a club, setting up additional tutoring services, or support with big assignments and papers—Jen always makes herself available to help the students where they need it.  In 2014, Jen earned her Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta and in 2016 she earned her Masters of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University.

Marcia: Academic Coordinator at SUNY Cobleskill

Marcia is originally from North Dakota. She holds a Bachelor’s in English from Dakota Wesleyan University as well as a Master’s Degree in English from the University of South Dakota. She has taught for the University of South Dakota and Bismarck State College. Before moving to New York, Marcia lived in China for three years working as a professor at Southeast University in Nanjing in the Jiangsu province. She has been teaching at SUNY Cobleskill for eight years. Marcia is the Academic Coordinator for CareerNext at Cobleskill. While new to Living Resources, Marcia has a long history of supporting students to achieve their academic excellence.

Megan: Academic Coordinator

Megan is the Academic Coordinator for CareerNext at SUNY Cobleskill, and a Professor for The College Experience Program at the College of St Rose.  She enjoys planning engaging curriculum as well as encouraging students to realize their full potential.  Megan graduated from Skidmore College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in English and Women’s Studies.  She earned her Master’s of Fine Arts in Writing from Goddard College in 2013.  Prior to Living Resources, Megan managed her family’s tire business, worked as a domestic violence and rape crisis advocate, and taught college classes in the humanities both locally and in China.  She is also a published author.

Kristin: Admissions Coordinator

Kristin joined the College Experience and CareerNext staff in early 2021. As the Admissions Coordinator, Kristin assists parents and students in the admissions process to the College Experience at The College of Saint Rose and CareerNext at SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Schenectady. Kristin received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Politics from Pace University in 2020. She previously worked with other local non-profits and in local government.
